Verifying your identity and profile
Identity verification is the step players most often postpone and the step most likely to delay a first withdrawal. It is not a punishment and it is not a sign that something is wrong: every regulated operator has to establish who its customer is, and it has to do so before money leaves the platform rather than before it arrives.
Understanding what is checked, and preparing the files in advance, usually turns a multi-day frustration into a single upload.

Why the check exists
Operators are required to know their customers, to confirm age, and to prevent accounts being used by someone other than the registered person. The same rules exist at banks, and for the same reason: an anonymous account is useful for money laundering and for fraud, and a named one is not.
That public-interest explanation has a private benefit too. Verification is what makes a withdrawal to your own bank account possible, and it is what protects your balance if someone tries to claim it.
What is normally requested
The standard set is an identity document with a photograph, proof of the address registered on the profile, and sometimes a payment-method confirmation showing the name on the card or wallet. Occasionally a short selfie or a photo of you holding the document is added, to prove that the person and the document are in the same place.
Requirements differ between operators and between countries, so the exact list is always the one shown inside your own account rather than a list from a forum.
Preparing documents that pass first time
- Photograph the full document, including all four corners.
- Use even, indirect light and avoid flash glare on the laminate.
- Keep the image sharp and in colour; do not scan in black and white.
- Cover nothing: no fingers, no stickers, no cropped edges.
- Make sure the file is under the size limit and in a supported format.
The most common rejection reasons
| Rejection | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Document unreadable | Blur or glare | Retake in daylight without flash |
| Expired document | Date not checked before upload | Use a valid document only |
| Address mismatch | Recent move not reflected | Supply a current statement |
| Name mismatch | Profile entered with a shortened name | Ask support to correct the profile |
| Third-party document | Bill in someone else's name | Use documents in your own name |
Nearly every rejection is mechanical rather than legal. Sharp light, correct name spelling and a current address document resolve the majority of them on the second attempt.
How long it takes and what it blocks
Review time varies with the operator's workload and cannot be accelerated by sending the same documents repeatedly, which merely re-queues the file. While verification is pending, deposits generally remain possible but withdrawals and some bonuses do not.
That asymmetry is the practical argument for verifying early. Completing the check while the account is empty means it is already done when you first want to take money out, instead of standing between you and your own funds.
Data handling in plain terms
The documents you upload are sensitive. Use only the upload channel inside the authenticated account, never a messenger, and never a link from an email. If a request for documents arrives by an unusual route, verify it by opening the site yourself and checking whether the same request appears there.
A legitimate operator will not ask for your card PIN, your full card number, or your password, and will not ask you to install remote-access software. Those requests are fraud regardless of who appears to make them.
When verification is refused
A refusal is almost always a request for something better rather than a rejection of you. Read the stated reason before resubmitting, because uploading the same file again produces the same answer and burns another review cycle. If the reason is unclear, ask support to quote the exact rule that was not met.
Genuine dead ends do exist: a document that cannot be replaced, a country where a product is not offered, or an age that does not meet the requirement. In those cases the outcome is fixed and further uploads change nothing, which is worth knowing before spending a week on it.
Keep your own copy of everything you submit, with the date it was sent. If a dispute ever arises about what was provided and when, a dated local copy is the strongest thing you can hold.
In short
Verification is routine administration that quietly decides how quickly you get paid. Do it early, prepare clean images of valid documents in your own name, and keep the profile spelling identical to the documents. The whole process then amounts to one upload instead of an argument.
